My favourite room: 'We're building more than a restaurant, we're building a community here' - inside new build of Lobstar co-owners
Briefly

Veronika and Zsolt Zakar moved to Ireland to enhance their English skills, which led them on an unexpected journey. Thirteen years later, they have successfully opened Lobstar, an award-winning seafood restaurant that reflects Zsolt's long-held ambition of owning a restaurant. Naming the restaurant was a challenge, especially considering their unique background, but they chose 'Lobstar' as a clever play on words. Their story emphasizes the importance of a business name that resonates with local customers and captures the essence of the cuisine served.
"Ever since I trained as a chef back home in Budapest, I always wanted my own restaurant... I thought one time of doing a soup restaurant and calling it Souper, but it was my ambition to do seafood and we came up with Lobstar."
"If you're new to the sector, you want the name to be interesting, something that resonates with customers and hopefully gives an indication of the kind of food you will be serving."
