A woman in her 50s was hit by a bus on North Road in Hornchurch, taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and road closures were implemented.
In a separate incident, derelict garages in Chadwell Heath caught fire, with the London Fire Brigade bringing the blaze under control within an hour.
