Vanessa Sagnay de la Bastida, 28, was hit so hard she somersaulted in the air before landing on a railing and suffering a fatal head injury.
Sagnay's partner, Michael Williams, testified that they got halfway across the road when a speeding car approached, causing Sagnay to run back but get hit.
