Police investigating after Hornchurch cash machine destroyed in fire

Control room officers at the London Fire Brigade received reports of the fire at 2.02am on December 29, with 40 firefighters responding quickly to the scene.
The fire originated from a cash machine and spread to the ground floor of a shop and a flat above, resulting in significant property damage.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries connected to the incident, and the fire was brought under control by 3.07am.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by both the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service as they work to determine the circumstances.
