Efforts to identify the mum of baby Elsa, abandoned in a shopping bag, are ongoing despite no leads from the police.
The East London Family Court heard today that the infant's mum has not come forward and efforts to identify her are ongoing.
The council representative advised that the Met's ongoing investigation prevents Elsa's birth registration, delaying decisions on her care.
Police believe Elsa was less than an hour old when found in the bag, with concerns for the woman's wellbeing after surveillance footage showed her entering the area.
