Police were called to Rushmore Road, Clapton, at about 3.38pm yesterday to reports of a fight and found a man in his 30s with stab wounds.
Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway said: 'Our thoughts are with the family of the victim at this difficult time.' He emphasized that the police would maintain a significant presence in the area.
