Police were called to Deans Lane, next to the John Keble Church, yesterday on January 9 after a man believed to be in his 40s was struck at 3.25pm.
At the time he was reportedly walking with a woman and a child, but no one else was injured. The driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made at this stage.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: Police were called at approximately 3.25pm on Thursday (January 9) to reports of a car in collision with a male pedestrian.
