A man died following a house fire in Oshawa, Durham police reported. Emergency services were alerted to the incident around 8 p.m. on Monday evening. Firefighters located the man inside the burning residence and he was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to those injuries shortly after. Although the Ontario Fire Marshal is investigating, initial findings from police indicate that the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
