Man charged with attempted murder after carnival stabbing

Rumarni Tuitt, an 18-year-old man from Waltham Forest, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article following a stabbing incident at Notting Hill Carnival.
The Metropolitan Police received reports of a stabbing at Canal Way, where an 18-year-old victim was found with multiple injuries, including a severe stomach wound.
After his appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court, Tuitt has been remanded to Old Bailey for a further hearing regarding the attempted murder charge.
The stab victim is currently in hospital, stabilized but remains in critical condition following the serious attack at one of London's major events.
