Officers patrolling Sutton town center on foot arrested a man suspected of shoplifting, failure to appear at court, and threatening shop staff with a hatchet outside Asda.
The suspect was pursued by the police on foot and apprehended outside the Asda store in Sutton, where he was arrested for all the reported offences.
