Man arrested after schools receive 'email threat'
Briefly

Following threats implied in emails to multiple schools in Essex and Hackney, lockdown measures were implemented for safety. Investigating police forces deemed the threats not credible. A 21-year-old man was subsequently arrested for sending offensive communications. Schools, including White Hall Academy and Clacton Coastal Academy, maintained communication with parents about the situation. In one incident, early reports erroneously suggested a man on a school roof was suspicious, though he was revealed to be a caretaker.
"Essex Police and the Metropolitan Police launched an investigation after being made aware of emails 'implying a threat' to several schools, including in Essex and Hackney."
"We were in close contact with parents, making them aware of the situation and updating them as soon as the police had confirmed the threat was not credible."
