Leicester Square attack: Man charged with attempted murder over stabbing of 11-year-old girl in central London

Ioan Pintaru, 32, of no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article. An 11-year-old girl was found with stab wounds.

The 11-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries, assessed as non-life threatening. It was clarified that the mother was not injured as initially thought.
