A home in East Greenwich was partially destroyed by fire on November 13, with extensive damage to the first floor and minor roofing damage. The London Fire Brigade responded quickly, deploying four fire engines and 25 firefighters to control and extinguish the flames, which were put out by 12.35am on November 14. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries associated with the incident.
The incident began around 10.48pm when the London Fire Brigade received multiple emergency calls regarding the blaze on Earlswood Street. Firefighters utilized a 32-metre turntable ladder as an observation tower to effectively combat the blaze from above, highlighting their strategic approach in addressing the fire. The area is currently under investigation to determine the cause.
