The Rail Accident Investigation Branch is investigating an incident where an Elizabeth line train operated at 45mph, exceeding the 20mph limit, causing passengers to lose their footing.
No injuries were reported from the incident at Manor Park station, despite one passenger being thrown to the ground when the train jolted sideways during rush hour.
The RAIB's preliminary investigation confirmed there was no damage to the train or the railway infrastructure, but further analysis will be conducted.
A safety digest will be published by rail investigators to identify lessons and safety improvements following the incident that raised concerns for passenger safety.
