A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an elderly man was found with a life-threatening head injury in Plaistow.
A 20-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody while police inquiries continue.
Officers were called to Plaistow Road with reports of concerns over the safety of a person in a residential address, where the injured man was found.
