The hours of the bus gate in Lansdowne Drive have been extended from 3 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon to now covering 7am to 7pm every day, aiming to reduce car dominance and improve road safety.
Work has begun to improve cycling safety in the area, including measures like a raised junction table, low level cycle signals, and a pedestrian and cycle crossing near the canal bridge, with a target completion date of September.
