A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a man died in a house fire in east London. Firefighters were called to the blaze in Oval Road North, Dagenham, on Saturday afternoon and found the body of a man in his 70s.
The teenager has also been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and is due to appear Barkingside Magistrates' Court.
Another male, arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police have appealed for witnesses who may have seen the incident on Oval Road North between 17:00 and 18:00 BST on Saturday.
