Fish oil may increase risk of heart conditions and stroke, study finds
Briefly

Fish oil supplements are linked to a 13% higher risk of atrial fibrillation and a 5% higher risk of stroke in those without preexisting cardiovascular diseases.
However, for individuals with heart disease, using fish oil supplements was associated with a 15% lower risk of transitioning from atrial fibrillation to a heart attack and a 9% lower risk of transitioning from heart failure to death.
