Deaf Twickenham stuntwoman set to run London Marathon
Briefly

Rachael Brown, a former ballet dancer turned musical theatre performer, lost her remaining hearing in January 2023 after previously being affected by cholesteatoma. This sudden change worsened her mental health, pushing her into a downward spiral. Inspired by a post from Hearing Dogs regarding the London Marathon, she decided to take on the challenge as a way to regain her motivation. Despite her challenges, such as running without sound cues due to her hearing loss, Rachael, who has previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge and engages in various sports, is committed to completing the marathon, viewing the event as a significant personal hurdle to overcome.
