Briefly

Gerry Klaskala, the chef and owner of Buckhead's Aria, announced his retirement after 25 years, passing ownership to longtime general manager Andrés Loaiza. Klaskala reflected on his satisfying journey in the culinary world, with highlights including serving celebrities and growing Aria into a recognized restaurant. Loaiza aims to uphold the restaurant's standards while introducing fresh perspectives to attract new patrons. As Klaskala shifts his focus to art, he leaves behind a legacy of modern American cuisine and a renowned wine list.
"It's time. It's been a great, great ride. I'm satisfied," says Gerry Klaskala.
"I love this place Gerry created, and I love what we do here. Aria will continue to live and breathe by the standards Gerry set," says Loaiza.
"This transition allows us to get a fresh set of eyes on the experience we present and make that experience even better as we introduce Aria to the next generation of Atlantans," says Loaiza.
"My plans aren't grandiose," says Klaskala in a statement. "For me, art has always been my first love."
