Briefly

The 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival has announced its lineup, featuring a notable opening night premiere of the Apple TV+ series 'The Studio', created by Seth Rogen. Claudette Godfrey highlighted the series' unique storytelling that reflects the industry’s pressures while celebrating bold artistry within the entire festival lineup. With 96 feature films, including 82 world premieres, the festival promises a vibrant mix of groundbreaking projects aimed at challenging perspectives and fostering conversations, set to take place from March 7 to 14, 2025.
"We are thrilled to welcome Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg back to SXSW with our Opening Night TV premiere, 'The Studio,'" Claudette Godfrey, VP of Film & TV, said. "This brilliantly conceived series is exquisitely cast and written, capturing the fanatical love, dedication, pressure, and, yes, the hubris that defines our industry."
Godfrey continued, "The same undeniable creative electricity in 'The Studio' runs through our 2025 program - you can feel a bit of magic happening in every film, series, and immersive experience we've curated this year..."
"When our incredible SXSW community gathers in March to experience these stories, the energy and inspiration is going to be absolutely transformative," Godfrey remarked, emphasizing the festival's commitment to enlightening narratives.
