Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy join forces in a new teaser trailer for Seth Rogen's upcoming The Muppet Show revival, premiering February 4th on Disney+ and ABC. The 30-second clip aired during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve and follows an even shorter preview that Disney+ premiered last month. "Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the beloved Muppet gang are back with a brand-new special event," reads the official description.
In the awards game, likability is paramount; voters vote for the shows and people they like best, which is why publicity departments work overtime to get their stars out in front of cameras during awards season, selling the best product they have: themselves. Apple TV+ has campaigned for The Studio as aggressively as any other show this year, which is how it ended up with 23 Emmy nominations, setting a record for a first-year comedy.
We're thrilled to be making a second season of The Studio, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg said in a statement accompanying the announcement on May 6. "We're looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into season two, then repeating that loop for ten more seasons."
