Tater Tot Hotdish
Briefly

Hotdish is a Midwestern casserole typically featuring a hearty cream soup base, ground meat, and a crispy topping—perfect for cozy winter meals.
I’ve reinvented hotdish by replacing traditional canned ingredients with fresh vegetables and making my own cream soup, aiming to enhance the flavors.
My family enjoys variations of hotdish, often with ground venison and fresh corn, elevated by umami from soy sauce and a sprinkle of parsley.
Despite its modern twists, this revamped hotdish has won the approval of my whole Minnesota family, including my picky 10-year-old brother.
