Horn Barbecue, looking to cook up more business, will add to Oakland menu and host live music
Briefly

Matt Horn, chef and owner of Horn Barbecue, has announced plans to enhance his Old Oakland restaurant by expanding the menu, adding drink specials, and bringing in live music to attract more patrons. Despite confusion over a temporary closure sign and the decision to not proceed with a new location in West Oakland, Horn reassures customers that his current location is still operational and aims to increase hours. He also expresses gratitude for the support from the Lafayette community that aids his business's success.
Horn, in an email to Nosh, said the closure was temporary and the restaurant reopened over the weekend as he makes "adjustments" including plans to expand the menu, add drink specials and bring in live music.
I want to make it clear that we are not closed permanently-our Oakland location is still very much in operation... Slow traffic is always a challenge for us, and it's tough for many businesses in the area.
I want to take a moment to express how truly grateful we are for the incredible support we've received from the town of Lafayette... community support is key to our business's success.
Despite the recent closures around us, we remain inspired, committed, and focused on serving each and every guest.
