A 36-year-old Concord man has been arrested for shooting a victim after an alleged brake check incident involving his girlfriend, highlighting issues of road rage and firearm misuse.
The victim reported that on October 29, two aggressive cars - driven by a man and a woman - acted together to provoke him, culminating in the man firing a shot and injuring him.
Authorities found the man's abandoned truck nearby, and subsequent investigations led to the recovery of illegal items including a stolen firearm and suspected fentanyl, linking them to multiple car thefts.
The suspect, facing multiple charges, including possession of a stolen car and grand theft, remains in custody as authorities continue to investigate his involvement in related vehicle burglaries.
