Despite overshadowing events in Washington, the South Bay honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a community celebration. Ebony Green, a mother and BART agent, traveled to San Francisco to celebrate with her son, Ahmad, who learned about King in school. The event at Caltrain saw approximately 1,000 attendees taking part in the special train service to a Luncheon at San Jose State University, highlighting how Dr. King's message of nonviolence and equality continues to inspire families and community members alike.
We wouldn’t be remiss in saying that Dr. King’s legacy remains a vital reminder of the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice for all.
As the crowd gathered, families brought their children to learn about Dr. King, illustrating how his message continues to resonate through generations.
