Darnesha Williams, a 29-year-old Oakland resident, was shot and killed on January 2 while attempting to escape in a stolen Audi at a gas station. The incident occurred around midnight, with another woman firing into the vehicle before Williams crashed shortly after. Despite quick medical response, she was pronounced dead at a hospital the next morning. The police have not provided a motive for the murder nor have they made any arrests, continuing to seek information from the public for leads on this tragic case.
Williams was shot around 11:56 p.m. while trying to escape her attacker in an Audi at the Kwik Serv gas station, before crashing a short distance later.
Despite efforts by first responders, Williams was pronounced dead at a hospital the following morning, marking another tragedy in the city.
The police confirmed that the Audi was stolen out of San Francisco in October, raising further questions about the circumstances surrounding Williams’ death.
Authorities have yet to reveal a motive for the shooting, or make any arrests, as they urge the public to come forward with information.
