A 43-year-old business owner, Thomas Azevedo, was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly luring an employee to a remote area of his Half Moon Bay property. The victim was deceived into believing a fence needed repair, but upon arrival, Azevedo brandished a firearm and attempted to shoot him in the head. The gun malfunctioned, and the struggle ensued, with one shot fired into the air. Authorities later seized more than a dozen firearms from Azevedo's business, which is now under investigation.
