Four individuals were arrested in connection with a shooting incident involving plainclothes police officers in San Jose. The officers were ambushed while waiting at a red light, prompting one officer to return fire. Despite the gunfire damaging their vehicle, the officers could not pursue the suspects. Following an investigation, several suspects were identified and apprehended on charges including attempted murder. San Jose Mayor praised the police for their prompt action, emphasizing that crime leads to consequences in the city.
On Thursday, SJPD Homicide Unit detectives identified the suspects and obtained arrest warrants and search warrants for their homes.
These suspects tried to take a life, and now they've lost their freedom, said San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan.
