SAN JOSE The potential purchase of one of the two landmark towers of the Signia by Hilton San Jose might provide a big boost to the local economy by bringing more visitors to downtown San Jose, experts say.One of the two towers of the 805-room Signia by Hilton San Jose, a double highrise in the city's downtown district that formerly housed the Fairmont Hotel, is being offered for sale, according to the hotel's property owner Sam Hirbod and a marketing brochure by JLL, a commercial real estate firm.
