The European Commission (EC) is reportedly planning to impose an antitrust fine on Meta Platforms for linking its Marketplace classified ads with its social media network Facebook, alleging unfair advantage by bundling the two services together.
The EC also accused Meta Platforms of abusing its dominant position by enforcing unjust trading terms on rival online classified ad services advertising on Facebook and Instagram, leading to the investigation.
