Teleferic Barcelona, located in Los Gatos, is revitalizing its dining atmosphere due to reduced customer visits. Manager Ruben Almazan notes that diners are spending less on entertainment, prompting the introduction of Ole! Flamenco & Tapas Night. This monthly event features local musicians and dancers to create an authentic Spanish atmosphere. With a menu highlighting Spanish cuisine—such as paella and a selection of tapas—the restaurant aims to draw in crowds and promote cultural engagement. The Flamenco nights are a strategic effort to enhance the dining experience and boost patron numbers.
Almazan said the musicians and dancers are selected by the marketing team from local talent. He expected the Los Gatos event to seat about 200 people.
This flamenco with this restaurant, this concept, fits perfectly for people to be able to basically see what we are all about: the Spanish cuisine, the Spanish culture.
Teleferic Barcelona is among the Los Gatos restaurants struggling with reduced foot traffic, attributed to people choosing to spend less on entertainment.
The standout of the night was a large iron skillet of paella, a Spanish rice dish with seafood and pork and chicken.
