AWS is partnering with Orbital Materials to leverage AI for developing technologies that will aid in decarbonising datacentres, focusing on advanced materials and direct air capture.
Orbital's proprietary AI platform, Orb, accelerates the creation of advanced materials by reducing trial and error in the research process, which traditionally has been slow and inefficient.
This collaboration will also make Orbital's AI platform available on AWS Marketplace and through Amazon SageMaker JumpStart, enhancing research capabilities for AWS customers.
AWS aims to implement Orbital’s direct air capture technology to significantly reduce its Scope 3 emissions, signalling a strong commitment to climate change mitigation.
