The Blue Insight Cave Space / 3andwich Design/Hewei Studio
Briefly

The Blue Insight Cave Space, situated along Donghai No.1 Road in Xiapu, Ningde City, Fujian Province, incorporates the principles of precipitousness, concealment, and integration. This project, vital to Ningde's "Zero Carbon Island" goal, transforms the site into a unique coastal attraction. Designed with an irregular shape reflecting the nearby reefs, the building's underground form respects the environment by minimizing land usage while harmonizing with local culture and coastal views. The architecture not only provides a viewing area for the vast sea but also blends into the natural surroundings, embodying the ethos of subtlety and connection with nature.
The Blue Insight Cave Space emphasizes a design that embodies "precipitousness, concealment, and integration," harmonizing with the coastal landscape while minimizing environmental impact.
