gazing over scenic norway, aksent arkitekter's day-trip cabin is embedded into a mountain
Briefly

The Day-Trip Cabin Hovdenuten, designed by Aksent Arkitekter, seamlessly blends into the natural landscape, enhancing the visitor experience while respecting environmental integrity.
With a sweeping glass façade, the stone cabin allows visitors to connect with the remarkable scenery of Hovden, a critical winter grazing ground for wild reindeer.
The design draws inspiration from traditional retaining walls, using materials like stone and wood for durability while thoughtfully integrating modern glass elements.
The final construction includes concrete covered with stone, wooden beams, and a turf roof, emphasizing a harmonious relationship with the surrounding ecosystem.
