"There's nothing like an arepa right off the grill or empanadas straight out of the fryer," Rachel says. "To best enjoy our food, you've got to be there sitting down."
"We hear stories all the time about people who tried their first arepas at our restaurant and now they come back for them all the time," Angulo says. "We also hear from people who are from Venezuela who are excited to have the cuisine they grew up with."
"We find the vegetarian and vegan recipes to be very popular and my husband was excited to play around with some of those recipes," Rachel says.
The arepa and empanada menus will expand with an emphasis on catering to people with dietary restrictions. There will be a dedicated gluten-free fryer so no one has to worry about cross-contamination from the churros.
