Recently I wrote about one of the great missions of the U.S. Air Force called Operation Chowhound.This lifesaving mission during World War II dropped food into the Netherlands to stop a famine.Sixty years later there was a chance meeting between a U.S. Air Force pilot of Operation Chowhound, Robert Smith, and a man from the Netherlands who received this precious food.
