Here we go again.Twenty years ago, Bears owners bemoaned Soldier Field's facilities, which resulted in taxpayers contributing some $430 million to a $690 million redesign in 2003.Fast-forward to 2023, and now the Bears are worth an estimated $5.8 billion but are pleading poverty.They want taxpayers to pick up the bill as they hopefully get a property tax assessment freeze for 40 years on their new multibillion-dollar stadium.
