Man arrested for arson in Placerville hours after Crozier Fire started

About four hours after the 1,187-acre Crozier Fire was started on Wednesday at around 1:21 am, the Placerville Police Department arrested a man for arson.
At a temporary daytime shelter for fire evacuees in Placerville, residents said they believed the Crozier Fire was caused by arson.
The man, 50 year-old Daniel Derrick Horney of Garden Valley, was charged with one count of felony arson and remains in police custody with bail set at $10,000.
