"Four adults were shot early Friday morning, the day after Christmas, in the 800 block of South First Street, just south of downtown San Jose, police said. Officers responded at about 3:43 a.m. to a report of a shooting and found four people suffering from gunshot wounds, the San Jose Police Department said. All four were being treated for their injuries at local hospitals,"
"but their conditions were not immediately available. Police have not released information about a possible motive, the identities of the victims or suspects, or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. South First Street remained closed Friday morning between Martha and Virginia streets as police investigated the scene. Authorities urged the public to avoid the area and use alternate routes. The investigation is ongoing, and police said more information is expected to be released to the public later Friday."
