California and Oregon wildfire risks continue to rise as extreme heat lingers

California's top fire official stated the state has already responded to over 3,500 wildfires this year, scorching nearly 325 sq. miles of land, five times the average for the past five years.

Oregon Governor authorized extra resources to combat wildfires, as the state faces record high temperatures, experiencing heat-related deaths and fires expanding due to weather conditions.
