Andrew Pashinin, 19, was arrested for allegedly attempting to murder a man in a Brooklyn subway incident. Reports indicate that he pushed a 33-year-old man onto the train tracks following a verbal dispute. Pashinin claimed the victim provoked him, calling him names before the incident occurred. However, police sources assert that Pashinin initiated the altercation. Fortunately, the victim escaped serious injury, managing to return to safety just before a train arrived. Pashinin is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, following his arrest at his mother's residence in Yonkers.
He pushed me and said mean things to me before I arrived at the station... He said he was going to beat my ass and that I was a little kid.
Police reported that the pair got into a verbal dispute, during which Pashinin allegedly pulled out a knife; when the older man saw the weapon, he backed away.
Cops say the teen allegedly approached a 33-year-old straphanger from behind... and shoved him onto the track before fleeing.
Police sources say the victim managed to pull himself back up to the platform just before a train arrived.
