A Parks Department employee discovered parts of a human skeleton, including a skull, on the waterfront rocks near Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Monday morning.
Police also discovered fragments of clothing and a pair of boots near the human remains, prompting an investigation into the incident.
In a separate incident, police retrieved a man's corpse from the waters near Red Hook's Pier 12, with efforts to identify the body ongoing.
