The Plymouth County District Attorney confirmed that Domingos Gomes, a 57-year-old pedestrian from New Bedford, was struck and killed in Brockton on Tuesday night.
Police stated they received alerts about the incident at North Quincy and Hovenden Streets at approximately 8:40 p.m., where Gomes subsequently suffered fatal injuries.
The driver who reportedly hit Gomes remained at the scene post-accident and was responsible for calling 911, indicating cooperation with authorities.
