Early Friday morning, a 42-year-old man was fatally shot in Brooklyn, New York. The shooting occurred at Rockaway Parkway and Avenue N at approximately 1:52 a.m. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim with a single gunshot wound to the back and he was conscious and alert at the time. He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Currently, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The victim's identity is withheld pending family notification.
