Bronx detectives are investigating a shooting that left 27-year-old Muhamadou Gumaneh dead; the suspect remains at large after fleeing the scene.
At approximately 1:12 a.m. on August 15, officers found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds; he later died at NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln.
The suspect shot Gumaneh from across the street, managed to escape on foot, and was last seen fleeing towards Grand Concourse.
Despite a slight drop in homicides in the 44th Precinct this year compared to last, the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
