Shawn P. Weiner Sr., a 35-year-old man from Somersworth, New Hampshire, was arrested after he crashed a stolen vehicle on March 9. Witnesses reported a naked man running across Route 16 in Dover shortly after the crash, prompting a police response. Weiner fled the accident scene on foot, discarding his clothing as he crossed traffic lanes. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. Charges against him include indecent exposure, reckless conduct, and littering, while the vehicle theft is still under investigation.
State troopers arrived at the scene and quickly arrested Weiner. Before the incident, Weiner allegedly crashed a car on Varney Road in Dover.
Weiner allegedly left the scene of the crash on foot and while fleeing, discarded his clothing on the shoulder of the highway.
Weiner was charged with indecent exposure and lewdness, reckless conduct, two counts of disorderly conduct, and littering.
The reported theft of the vehicle involved in the crash remains under investigation.
