1 injured in drive-by shooting outside Boston Common movie theater, police say

Early Sunday morning, Boston police responded to reports of gunfire outside the AMC Boston Common theater. Upon arrival, officers discovered ballistic evidence in the street and received witness statements indicating that a passenger in one vehicle had shot at another vehicle. An injured individual later sought treatment at a nearby hospital for their gunshot wounds, which were deemed non-life-threatening. As of the evening, police had not made any arrests, and the investigation into the incident was ongoing.
At around 2:45 a.m., Boston police officers responded to the AMC Boston Common movie theater at 175 Tremont St. for a report of shots fired.
Officers found 'ballistic evidence' in the street. Witnesses told police they saw a passenger in one vehicle open fire at a person in another vehicle.
Shortly afterwards, an injured person took themselves to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to Marron.
As of Sunday evening, no arrests have been made. The shooting is still under investigation, Marron said.
