Parcelhero predicts Black Friday 2023 sales will rebound robustly to £7.5bn following last year's disappointing performance. Positive signs from retailers suggest genuine discounts.
David Jinks M.I.L.T. remarked, 'Black Friday was in danger of becoming a bloated, overlong anticlimax. Only 2% of products last year were genuinely cheaper than other times of year.'
He added that retailers seem to have learned lessons from last year, with 70% of monitored items cheaper on Black Friday 2022, averaging a 29% discount.
Despite a sluggish start to November, Jinks highlighted that Brits have been cautious with spending but are eager to take advantage of real discounts this season.
