Bikepackers, commuters, and touring cyclists know the brand Restrap well. From frame bags to saddle bags, panniers, and hydration vests, the UK-based brand knows bike bags well. However, one thing has been missing from its lineup. Although the brand offers its own mounting brackets and accessories, it doesn't have a dedicated rear bike rack. Until now. Rimpact's Chain Damper was launched in 2024, and since then, interest in drivetrain feedback mitigation seems to be gaining momentum. The fact that current World Cup DH ruler Jackson Goldstone uses a similar device on his bike has likely caused quite a spike in interest. On their part, Rimpact supported 15 World Cup DH Teams through last season, and they're expecting that number to grow this year.

On Monday, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a new bill into state law that sets a precedent for e-bikes in the state. New Jersey's most recent bill requires e-bike riders to have a license, register their e-bike, and insure it. You can read the bill in its entirety here. And this applies to all e-bikes in the state. Over the last handful of years, "e-bikes" have been much more prominent in local and even national news. But, generally not for good reasons.
First, let's talk about the BBB Cycling FLUX lens. BBB designed the FLUX to be their most advanced lens, filtering out non-essential light across the spectrum. In doing so, the brand claims improved clarity and contrast, making it easier for your eyes to distinguish between colors and details. The FLUX lens blocks both UV-A and UV-B rays entirely, along with harmful infrared and blue light.
The Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) has solved many problems. If you've ever had a cycling weekend cut short due to a bent or broken derailleur hanger and not been able to find a replacement, you know what I'm talking about. The UDH eventually gave way to SRAM's direct-mount derailleurs, both electronic and mechanical. However, these direct-mount derailleurs posed challenges for some indoor trainers, often requiring users to fiddle with tricky adapters or ditch them altogether.
While much of the discussion surrounding the 32" wheel size has centered around cross-country bikes and XCO World Cup racing, gravel bikes seem like one of the best and most obvious applications. But as far as we can tell, 32" gravel tires are even more rare, with most of the big-wheeled gravel bikes we've seen relying on the aforementioned mountain bike models.

Just last week, we reported on two production hardtail mountain bikes with drop bar builds from both Pivot Cycles and Pinarello. The commercial availability of these bikes is undoubtedly tied to the proliferation of drop bars on custom mountain bike builds in the pro field of iconic races like the Leadville Trail 100. In fact, Keegan Swenson raced his drop bar Santa Cruz Blur to his fifth consecutive victory in last year's Leadville race and his fourth in 2024 on board a drop bar hardtail.

Wolf Tooth Components has added new 6mm offset in the 8-bolt mounting pattern for 34T and 36T mountain bike chainrings. Compared to larger 38-tooth-and-up gravel and cyclocross chainrings, these tooth counts let you run ultra-low gearing for your gravel bike or bikepacking rig. And the new 6mm offset (which puts the chainring 6mm closer to the frame's center line) gives you a better chainline for frames with with non-boost spacing...which is virtually every gravel bike.

At the heart of the GREVIL MX is directly from Pinarello's Dogma XC playbook. A 67.75° head angle and 101mm of trail mirror the front-end numbers of the DOGMA XC hardtail. Canyon's full-power e-mountain bike lineup is back in stock, and this time they're returning with a major update: a newly redesigned battery in an all-new aluminum housing, intended to address previous issues with durability, sealing, and long-term reliability. In late 2024, the DTC industry leader issued a stop-use notice and instructed owners to immediately inspect the batteries on its Spectral:ON CF, CFR, and Torque:ON CF e-mountain bike models.
Back in 2024, Canyon issued a voluntary recall of some of its eBike batteries. The batteries in question were plastic-housed. These batteries had the risk of catching fire, as the plastic housings could allow water ingress. Yesterday, Canyon released two new eMTBs that come spec'd with new, updated batteries. The Spectral:ON, and the Torque:ON eMTBs are using a "long-lasting" 800Wh battery that is reinforced with an aluminum housing.

Drop bars on mountain bikes aren't exactly new. People have been experimenting with curly bars on mountain bikes since the 1980s, but in 2025, they saw a major resurgence in popularity. With high-profile racers like Keegan Swenson - among many others - modifying XC race bikes with drop bars for events like Leadville, the drop-bar MTB became a much-hyped and frequently discussed topic for the first time in many years.
Simply put, with the uppers and lowers flip-flopped, there is no supporting arch connecting the lowers on the Podium. Instead, the inverted fork uses a larger 20mm axle, which is most commonly used on DH bikes to achieve the required stiffness and support. But this lack of an arch also means there is no place to mount a fender. Also, due to the upper and lower flip-flop, the only place left to mount a fender was at the crown.
Reserve Wheels has partnered with DT Swiss to be the only (for now) source for aftermarket wheelsets built with DT Swiss Degree of Freedom (DOF) hub internals - another big deal that follows the recent announcement of Reserve's partnership with Chris King. If you're not familiar with DOF, it is DT Swiss's answer to the pedal kickback issue that is the talk of the MTB industry right now. With DOF internals, riders can benefit from tool-free deadband tuning, enhancing suspension performance and reduced drivetrain feedback.
